April 9, 2008 - TOM GABRIEL FISCHER LEAVES CELTIC FROST
Celtic Frost singer and guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer has left Celtic Frost due to the irresolvable, severe erosion of the personal basis so urgently required to collaborate within a band so unique, volatile, and ambitious.
April 4, 2008 - THE VISUAL ART OF TOM GABRIEL FISCHER NOW AVAILABLE
Alternatively subject to passionate controversy or revered as one of the most influential and revolutionary musicians of the past two decades, Hellhammer and Celtic Frost singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer's creative and intriguingly enigmatic mind has helped shape the face of modern extreme metal. But Fischer's imagination has never been limited solely to music: starting as early as 1983, he began to create the underground art which, for example, would subsequently grace Hellhammer's legendary "Triumph of Death" demo, "Apocalyptic Raids" EP, or "Demon Entrails" album. Moreover, throughout Celtic Frost's existence, Fischer has been closely involved with all aspects of the band's art direction and visual presentation.
For the very first time, Fischer's art outside of music is now commercially available directly from the artist himself. The website
http://selfdeceased.blogspot.com/
features the first 10 of Fischer's continuing series of
life-size death masks of himself as well as
limited edition signed prints of some of his most dramatic drawings.
Fischer casts each death mask individually by hand from a mold of his face made in New York by
Josh Turi (special makeup effects artist),
Tom Denier,
Jr. (special makeup effects artist), and
Eli Livingston (sculptor for, among others,
HR Giger). The death masks are cast from concrete and then primed and painted by Fischer using oil, enamel, or acrylic paints. The finished death masks are mounted on anodized black aluminum frames and labeled, numbered, and signed by the artist. No two death masks are thus ever the same, each death mask is a unique and lasting piece of art.
Similarly, the limited edition, large-format prints of Fischer's drawings are also signed and numbered by the artist.
Both lines of death masks and drawings are to be expanded in the future. Be sure to check for updates frequently.

March 20, 2008 - TOM GABRIEL FISCHER TO BE PART OF THE INFERNO METAL FESTIVAL CONFERENCE
On Friday, March 21, 2008, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost singer and guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer will be part of the Inferno Metal Festival Conference at the Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, Norway. Along with Gaahl of Gorgoroth and Maniac of Skitliv, Fischer will be on the panel in a discussion on the topic:
Can metal become more extreme? Taboos and metal ? where do we go from here?
"15 years after the climax of Norwegian black metal murders and church arson, it is time to look ahead. Is there a limit to what record labels and those interacting in the music business can work with? What is the next extreme thing to happen?"
(official festival conference text)
The discussion is scheduled to begin at 2 pm; it will be hosted by Michael Berberian of Seasons Of Mist. For further information, please refer to:

January 8, 2008 - "DEMON ENTRAILS" DETAILS REVEALED; EUROPEAN RELEASE DATE FEBRUARY 18, 2008
With the release of "Demon Entrails" on February 18, 2008 the days of numerous sub-standard bootlegs of the classic Hellhammer demos "Death Fiend", "Triumph of Death" and "Satanic Rites" are finally over! Currently also working on a book dealing with the history of Hellhammer, founder Tom Gabriel Fischer points out the importance of this release:
"The release of these demos is very significant to both Martin Eric Ain and me. No matter how one looks at Hellhammer, this was our first recorded music so many years ago, and it represents the radicalness of our own lives at the time. These demos became the foundation to everything we later created in Celtic Frost. Hell reigned on earth."
